A few years ago, I purchased an Apidura saddle and handle bar bag.
The best ever.
I have tried a lot of other bags. Panniers. Front low riders. A plethora of saddle mount ones but these are the best. They are waterproof, easily removed, tighten down keeping the bag from moving, and surprising large.
I can easily move them from bike to bike and always carry the following:
- Tire irons
- Spare tube
- Multi tool
- A Mussette
- A rain jacket
- Wind vest
- Arm warmers
- Leg warmers
And, there is plenty more space for food, and an extra kit for overnight trips
