When I’m at the cottage, I ride different roads. Quiet rural roads. Roads with little, if any traffic. Roads with scenery I’m not accustomed to. Lakes. Sandy beaches. Farmers’ fields. Cows. Horses. Deer. Turtles. Wild turkeys. I even saw a fox one day. This is the way cycling is meant to be.

I’ve only just stumbled across your blog… is this in the uk?
I’m pleased you stumbled by.
No. These roads are in Ontario, Canada about 2 hours drive north of Toronto. I have a cottage there and love cycling the quiet, rural roads. Interestingly, these parts were sealed by the English back in the early 1800’s.
Good luck with your triathlon training.
