Headwinds.
I used to hate them. Then I shifted my thinking. I began thinking of them as a training aid. Resistance training. They improve my conditioning like long climbs and strengthen my resolve.
This video has several tips I had not thought of before.
Wish I’d seen this before my ride into work this morning. It was another bast*#d 20mph headwind and for 13m I felt like I was climbing a mountain with absolutely no rhythm. Still, can’t complain-it was a SW wind so it was mild & sure beats the cold icy winter weather that we’re supposed to have at this year…
That’s the attitude. Merry Xmas.
Happy Christmas to you too. Bon velo!
I often find if I do climbs into the wind I get shelter from the hill, and in undulating country the benefit of downhills into the wind.
I had the opposite yesterday – a 3 km climb into a strong wind – and no way to change the route. Merry Xmas.
Ah well, thems the breaks or no t!
I prefer tail winds 🙂
I’d like to see you battling a headwind with Bugsby 🙂 Have a great Xmas. Your kids must be excited.
