Look what I discovered today. An urban delivery service using trikes.
I was headed to my favourite lunch time cafe, JJ Bean, and discovered this trike parked outside. I have never seen it before. This is a local urban delivery company that, according to their website, has been in business for 3 years. In that time, they have …
- Made 40,586 deliveries
- Travelled 50,480 kilometers
- Prevented 22,300kg of harmful CO2 pollution
- Transported over 300 tonnes of goods for our clients
It is an interesting, green business model. They deliver cargo for a fee and sell advertising space on the sides of their trikes. And, they are looking to hire additional “Tricycle Delivery Riders”.

Well, I don’t know about the 22,000 kg of CO2 pollution… Those stats rarely take into account the respiration of the cyclist which is pure CO2 (aka Plant Food). That said, cycling is obviously cleaner and good on them!
