When I was a kid growing up, my family owned a lakefront cottage in rural Ontario. In the hot, humid summer months, thunder storms were frequent. They were exiting to watch and very often we would lose power. Power tools stopped. Cooking stopped. And, the lights went out. It was fun, scary and frustrating all at the same time. In the end, the power always returned and we felt a sense of relief that life was back to normal.
I just finished a 45 km ride and, the power is back on. I maintained a consistent pace and climbed easily once again. Life is back to normal.
I am celebrating with a cup of coffee.
I finally bought a generator. Power outages suck!
