I never tire of this view. Third Beach looking out on English Bay. For 30 years I have stopped here on my bike to count the ships in the harbour, fill my water bottle, empty my bladder and exercise in the sun. There are more ships in the harbour waiting to load than ever before. Today I count 15. For years, it was only 10. Is the port busier? Less efficient?

This is in Vancouver BC. Canada. It may not be as far away as you think. Vancouver is a great city for cyclists and worthy of a trip.
