I have a confession to make.
I cycle to work wearing bib shorts. I find them more comfortable and, because I take a circuitous route home working in a few climbs and descents, I like to pedal unimpeded. The thing is. I do not take them off during the day. I simply pull on a pair of slacks and polo shirt when I get to the office and no one is any the wiser. They are warm, do not restrict my movement in any way and are supportive. I think I know what it feels like to wear a girdle.
Am I the only one?
Yeah, that’s a rule breaker there brother.
Yep. Just you fella 😉
I am not surprised!
Helluva confession, I suppose I can think of two issues, smell and fungal growth. But other than that I wouldn’t have a problem with it….
haha … not really an issue. The bibs are washed regularly and I wear a clean pair every morning. The ride in is downhill mostly and not sweat is involved.
Ok, if it works for you. My partner has never worn bib shorts. He’s been cycling lots for past few decades..nearly daily.
I don’t know how he does it. Padded bibs make long rides more comfortable for me. What does he prefer to wear on his long rides?
Not my thing but hey, if you find it comfortable 🙂 . But I am a boxers man so would find cycle shorts too constrictive when not cycling (I often wear board shorts when mountain biking)
