Think of your LinkedIn Profile as a roadside billboard, an advertisement on display 24/7 for all passersby to see and consider. It is your opportunity to grab their attention and differentiate yourself. Effective billboards have little text (at 100 km/hour there isn’t time to read much), use white space and images to create interest. Your Profile is the same; a picture of yourself and, a headline. Make them count. Otherwise, prospects will pass you buy and look for someone else that has the skills and experience they are looking for. The headline needs to succinctly say what you do, who you do it for and why you should be considered.
